Working at PHCL

Solicitor Rebecca Evans tells us about joining Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law and why client relationships matter.

“It was in June 2007, whilst working alongside Pearson Hinchliffe’s team on a property matter, that I was ‘headhunted’ by partner Mike Pitt.

Looking back I must have made an impression, as he offered me an interview with a view to taking a leading role in the growing specialist commercial property team.

Three months later I joined the team at Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law and haven’t looked back! Upon reflection I am happy to say I made the right move bearing in mind the high quality of work and support within the firm.

I am proud to be a member of the commercial team at Pearson Hinchliffe and believe the reputation of the firm is built upon good, open  and ‘hands on’ relationships with a broad mix of clients from across sectors.

Many of my clients have built up a real understanding and rapport with the people here, after having been with the firm for years.

As a result, I have found our reputation for longevity also instils new clients with the confidence their legal work is being handled by committed professionals. I think this is about trust, which is a key factor to the success of my work for clients.

Working so close to the vibrant city of Manchester, and experiencing the ‘buzz’ of socialising in the bars and restaurants in and around the city was also a draw for me. And I think it helps to keep my outlook fresh and positive which I hope will impact positively on my working life.” Rebecca Evans - Solicitor, Commercial Property Team.
