Lanes Group PLC goes from A-to-B with Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law

30th April 2008

April 2008
Client: The Lanes Group PLC
Purchase of The Bee Clear Limited of Plymouth

Lanes Group PLC, the UK’s largest independent drainage specialist operation, has announced the acquisition of Plymouth’s The Bee Clear Limited, making it the company’s 18th depot in the UK.

This is the latest acquisition announced by Lanes, which is rapidly expanding its services across the country. The Bee Clear Limited becomes the South West branch of Lanes for Drains and follows Lanes’ acquisitions of Total Drainage Solutions (Bedford) and Clean-A-Drain (Surrey) at the end of 2007.

Pearson Hinchliffe has worked with Lanes for Drains for over 12 years and has been involved in all of the company’s acquisitions.

The purchase was overseen by a team of experienced solicitors who mediated with both companies to confirm due diligence and the successful exchange of contractual agreements. Roger Hinchliffe, who led the team, said: “Lanes’ outstanding reputation enables it to take advantage of the market in Plymouth, and by working with a company such as The Bee Clear, it can build on an existing customer base and work to improve the services available.”
